A Day At The Races

On 25th June Justin and Anita ran our stand at Folkestone Races to raise awareness of hearing loss and associated problems. We also held a free prize draw to win two bottles of Lanson Champagne. It was a great opportunity to meet many new and existing Hearbase customers.

Our new branch in Dover features in local press

The new branch will offer a private and NHS service. During its opening week, there will be free hearing aid tests, 10 per cent off all hearing aid purchases, free hearing aid draw and a champagne reception, on
May 5th.

New location for our dover branch

From 27th April 2010 our branch in Dover will move from Kenneth Bird Opticians to our new office at 8 Tower Hamletts Road. This branch will be offering our full hearing aid service. Hearing Aid Audiologist Anita Radziszewska will be available for appointments on Tuesday morings. You can make an appointment by calling our helpline number 0800 028 6179.

 

 

Deaf Awareness Week

 

 

Our mobile screening unit visited four Sainsburys stores- Canterbury, Thanet, Folkestone and Ashford - in the first week of May. We saw an increase in the numbers of people wanting their hearing tested, so we are considering visiting more locations.

More than 50 people a day popped by the truck for a hearing health assessment. Often people were not surprised that they were suffering hearing loss, having noticed they were finding it hard to keep up with conversation in social situations.

New Technology

Adam Ferrier from Oticon UK spent the morning with us on 29th April 2009. Adam came to show us the new entry level Oticon Hit hearing aids. These are designed to give patients optimal speech clarity whilst keeping the cost of the hearing aids low. Adam also gave the clinical staff further training on the new power behind-the-ear hearing aids which will be available for all models of Oticon hearing aids. Find out more about the Oticon Hit here

Jason Mayer from Phonak UK spent the morning at our main office on 16th April 2009. Jason presented the new Phonak Yes hearing aid and trained the clinical staff on the fitting and programming of this exciting new product, that contains a range of features to improve the understanding of speech and reduce the intrusive effects of background noise. Celebrating 10 years

Hearbase celebrated 10 years with a special open day featuring the latest products from Oticon, one of the words leading hearing aid suppliers. Adam Ferrier from Oticon was on hand to answer questions and assist the team with the demonstrations of the latest Oticon technology.
